RUTO NEW STATE APPOINTEES

 President William Ruto on Friday made new appointments to various State agencies, with the new appointees all expected to serve in their roles for a period of three years effective immediately.

Among the new appointments include that of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party National Elections Board (NEB) Chairman Anthony Ng’ang’a Mwaura who now takes over from Francis Muthaura as the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) Chairperson.

President Ruto also appointed Hamisi Mwashobo Mwaguya as the Kenya Martime Authority Chairperson, and David Wamatsi Omusotsi to a similar role at the Council of Kenya Utalii College 

Gen. (Rtd) Joseph Kiptoo Kasaon takes up a new role as the Kenya Meat Commission (KMC) Chairperson, James Waore Dianga as the Lake Basin Development Authority (LBDA) Chairperson.

Former Athletics Kenya Federation (FKF) President Gen. (Rtd) Jackson Tuei is the new Sports, Arts and Social Development Fund Oversight Board Chairperson, Halima Yussuf Mucheke the Board of the Tourism Regulatory Chairperson.

Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mithika Linturi also gazetted former Taita Taveta Governor John Mruttu as the new Chairperson of the Board of the Agricultural Finance Corporation.

Azimio la Umoja Coalition has unveiled what it terms as fresh evidence that Raila Odinga won the August 9 presidential election but was rigged out, coming four months after President William Ruto was sworn into office.  Azimio cited a document provided by a whistleblower working at the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) that allegedly indicates Mr Odinga garnered 8,170,353 votes representing 57.3 percent while Dr Ruto garnered 5,915,973 representing 41.66 percent.
